Summer in Asheville means festivals of all kinds. This one-of-a-kind town has a little something for everyone.

Drum Circle

What better way to kick off the summer than a Drum Circle session? This is a reoccurring event that takes place every Friday night during the summer months and is a great way to get involved in Asheville’s unique tradition. Everyone is welcome to join in the rhythm at Pritchard Park in downtown Asheville.

Clay Fest

On Saturday, June 10, 2017 be sure to stop by the Folk Art Center on your way down the Blue Ridge Parkway to experience Clay Fest! Clay Fest brings ceramic and other artist together to show different techniques and even gives you a chance to glaze some pottery and watch it be fired. While you are at the Folk Art Center you can view different types of work from hundreds of artist from the Southern Appalachian area. You can also reach many hiking trails from the parking lot of the Folk Art Center.

Asheville Art in the Park

On June 10th, 2017 Art in Park takes place in Pack Square Park, where local artisans gather to display their one-of-a-kind creations. From jewelry to woodworking and fabric arts, there is something to catch everyone’s eye. This is a reoccurring event that will take place on June 10th, 17th, and 24th from 10 am to 5 pm.

Veganfest

Another great event happening from June 9th-11th is VeganFest. If you have ever been curious about going Vegan this is the perfect opportunity to learn and explore the nutritional value of a Vegan lifestyle. The weekend will be packed with guest speakers, yoga groups, and many venders who are happy to answer your questions on how to make a healthier you.

Downtown After 5 Concert

Adventure towards North Lexington Avenue near the I-240 overpass on June 16th at 5pm to enjoy the rhythmic sounds of Sonny Knight & The Lakers as they perform a free concert for Asheville’s Downtown After 5 event. As always there will be local food and beverage venders there with delicious creations and refreshing brews for you to purchase. It is a great way to kick off your weekend exploration of Asheville.

Better Dads Festival

June 17th is the first ever Better Dads Festival to celebrate everything dads do. This event is for everyone to come and share their experiences they have had with their own fathers regardless of the situation. The purpose of this event is to build a better community through communication. Along with open discussions there will be musical performances, games, food and beverage venders, and much more.
